Q: What kitchen aroma brings back fond memories?
A: Garlic, garlic, garlic. My mom always used tons of it in every dish.
Q: What is your favourite food to cook?
A: A huge turkey dinner. My husband and I have this down pat. It’s all in the stuffing and basting. And the bird has to be over 25 pounds because we like to share with at least 20 people.
Q: How did the first meal you prepared turn out?
A: I made spaghetti sauce from scratch. It was described later as spaghetti soup. Maybe someone would like the recipe for their cookbook?
Q: What kitchen gadget can you not live without?
A: A non-stick pan. I have a tendency to cook things on high and if it burns this makes cleanup much easier.
Q: What traditions from your background involving food do you partake in?
A: Since I am from the East Coast … we love our fish. I have taken my mom’s seafood chowder recipe and do a low fat version.
