EDMONTON - There are reports that a controversial Edmonton-area home for troubled youth will close in 90 days.

Staff members at Bosco Homes say they have been told that's when they will lose their jobs.

It's not clear what will happen to the 30 youngsters who stay there.

Bosco has been in the spotlight since June, when two youths who ran away from the group home were charged in the deaths of a couple on a farm.

Bosco officials promised a lot of costly security improvements after surrounding residents expressed safety concerns.

Provincial officials told CTV Edmonton they didn't know anything about the Bosco closure, but said no funding had been pulled and the facility's licence had not been cancelled.
