TORONTO - A man, believed to be in his mid-20s, has been shot and wounded on a Toronto Transit bus.

Police say they were called to the scene on Arleta Avenue in west-end Toronto at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

The victim is reported to have suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

Emergency services says he was been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Toronto Transit Commission chairman Adam Giambrone told TV news station CP24
that it is believed the shot came from outside the bus.
