The Alberta chapter of the Motorcycle Ride for Dad launched their 2010 ride yesterday at Ceili’s Irish Pub yesterday.
Motorcycle Ride for Dad is an event held annually that raises money for prostate cancer research and awareness, and this year the Edmonton chapter hopes to raise over $225,000.
The fourth annual ride is set to take place on June 12. Last year the event raised $186,662.
The funds raised will stay in Edmonton and be used for education and awareness, as well as supporting research at the Cross Cancer Institute.
“If we can save one guy out of this ride, then it’ll all be worth it,” said Rob Berg of K-97.
