It’s no secret that the Road Hammers are the best country rock band in Canada. Their blend of outlaw trucker rock can admittedly sound contrived, but you can get overly cynical about such things. Nobody in their wildest dreams could have imagined how well traditionalist McCoy would sound with guitar rocker Clayton Bellamy. Throw in a near-metal rhythm section and you’ve got a winning combination. This may have started out as a side project for McCoy but it’s turned into his bread and butter. A second album was inevitable. It sticks to the same successful road map and band cohesion pushes it a notch above the first.
