Road rage leads to knockout

A North Vancouver man is sporting a black eye and has lost a tooth after being on the wrong end of a road rage incident on Highway 1.

The 45-year-old was driving his truck through Abbotsford on Tuesday morning when he got into an “exchange of gestures” with the driver of a Mercedes, police said yesterday.

“The driver of the Mercedes invited the man to pull over,” said Const. Ian MacDonald.

“Once out of their respective vehicles, the Mercedes driver removed his shirt and (allegedly) initiated an assault.”

“The 45-year-old man was struck in the head and face while standing and while on the ground. He believes he briefly lost consciousness. The driver of the Mercedes left the area.”
