Robert Trinh, winner of the Nissan Versa Larger Than Life Road Trip contest, accepts his prize — an ’07 Versa.

Robert Trinh, a 21-year-old student from Victoria, finally got the chance to collect his reward for winning the Nissan Versa Larger Than Life Road Trip. Trinh drove across the country, from Halifax to Vancouver in 21 days, competing against nine other hopefuls in various challenges along the way. His prize? A brand new 2007 Versa hatchback from Mississauga-based Nissan Canada Inc.

The 21-day road trip put 10 complete strangers into five Versas and sent them through eight provinces and over 8,800 km of highway, meeting 14 challenges of mind and body along the way.

An excited Trinh picked up the keys to his Versa recently at Morrey Nissan in Burnaby, B.C.

“What a great way to start the new year,” said Trinh. “I still can’t believe I won and I just couldn’t wait to pick up the keys. The Versa certainly provided a nice and comfortable ride across Canada and now I get to take one home with me.”

Trinh earned the most points from the 14 various challenges in cities across the country, combined with viewer support from Canadians who voted for their favourite road tripper online.
