Now that she has woken from a medically induced coma, the victim of a brutal robbery in Orleans last week has provided police with a description of her assailants.

The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is asking for information related to two black males in their early 20s who fled the scene in a full-size, dark-coloured vehicle.

The victim described the passenger of the vehicle as being around six feet tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a basketball jersey at the time of the robbery.

They have dismissed previous witness information pertaining to a light-coloured sports car as a result of the interview with the victim.

Natalie Galipeau, 31, was left hospitalized with severe head trauma and multiple skull fractures after she was found unconscious a short distance from her house around 9 p.m. on Aug. 18.

Galipeau was reportedly meeting with someone interested in purchasing a gold bracelet she had listed on a local online auction sight. The bracelet is still missing.

The victim is now expected to make a full recovery.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS).
