Rogers Arena cited in food safety study

Rogers Arena made a list of North American sports venues cited for food-safety violations.

According to an ESPN study, Vancouver health inspectors reported sightings of rodents, malfunctioning coolers and improperly maintained handwashing stations at the former GM Place.

In all, nine per cent of vendors were found in violation of the health code during inspections in 2009. Edmonton’s Rexall Place was the worst offender in Canada.
