Three teens are facing charges of drug possession and an 18-year-old male faces a charge of drug trafficking after Halifax Regional Police conducted a regular search of Park West School.
Police said at 10:40 p.m., a vehicle with four people in it was located behind the school on Langbrae Drive in Halifax. As they approached the vehicle, police say they could smell marijuana. All four males in the car were then arrested and police say a subsequent search located marijuana on each teen, along with a school bag containing marijuana, hashish and other drug paraphernalia.
Two of the three teens arrested for drug possession – aged 18 and 19 – are from Shad Bay. The other is an 18-year-old from Halifax.
All four will appear in court at a later date. They also have each been issued tickets under the Protection of Property Act for being on school grounds after hours.
