It will be a sea of pink on Sunday as thousands of Calgarians flood Southcentre parking lot to become a symbol of hope for a future without breast cancer.
The 19th annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day event, according to officials.
“Breast cancer doesn’t pick favourites, and on Sunday Calgarians should come experience the energy, the courage and help create a future without breast cancer,” this year’s survivor spokesperson Laurel Sopher told Metro.
In 2009, over 8,000 people helped raise $1.55 million.
