The fauna of Hawrelak Park saw an influx yesterday, as ghoulishly dressed runners gathered for the 10th annual Run Wild for Wildlife. Hosted by the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton, the event raised more than $20,000 for the society’s rehabilitation programs.

“It is a massive fundraiser for us, and we do rely on it quite a bit, because of this fundraiser we are able to help over 1,000 wildlife patients,” explains WRSE executive director Cheryl Feldstein.

“We want to raise above our cost, to take us into the new year.”
