Halifax Mooseheads forward Andrew Ryan will represent Atlantic Canada at the world under-17 hockey challenge next month in Manitoba.

The 16-year-old from Paradise, N.L., was named to Team Atlantic’s 22-man roster yesterday and will compete in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie from Dec. 29 to Jan. 4.

Ryan, a six-foot-two, 186-pounder who the Mooseheads selected 19th overall in last June’s draft, has four goals in 19 games as a QMJHL rookie this season.
