Ryerson students will take over Yonge Street in their annual parade Friday afternoon, snarling downtown traffic.

The parade, hosted by the Ryerson Students Union, will begin on Gould Street near Yonge and Dundas Street at noon.

It will include six to 10 floats, five vehicles and a band.

Forming on the Ryerson campus at 40 Gould, the parade route will go west to Yonge, south to Front Street, west to Bay Street, south on Bay, then disperse at the Ferry Docks.

TTC vehicles will be allowed through gaps in the parade, police say, and in the event TTC service becomes delayed, the parade will be stopped.
