Susan Sarandon is taking on Pope Benedict XVI. While discussing her 1995 film Dead Man Walking at the Hamptons Film Festival, Sarandon had some unkind words for the current head of the Catholic Church, according to Newsday. Sarandon explained that she’d sent a copy of the book upon which the film was based — which advocates against the death penalty — to the pontiff. “The last one,” Sarandon clarified, “not this Nazi one we have now.”
