EDMONTON - An Edmonton grocery store's bakery is toast after it was firebombed overnight.

Police say damage is extensive in the baked goods section of the Save-On store after someone tossed a flaming Molotov cocktail through a window.

A janitor inside the north-side store saw what was going on and dialled 911.

The sprinkler system confined the flames to the bakery area, but smoke caused at least $100,000 damage throughout the store.

The Edmonton Police Service has its arson squad on the case. (CHED)
