There was a fight, four gun shots, and then a man lying on the ground, clutching his chest, said witnesses to a fatal Scarborough shooting.

“I heard the ‘pops,’ then looked out my balcony and saw two men running (along the side of the building) to the parking lot. They got in a black car,” said one man, who saw the aftermath of the Wednesday night fray.

That vehicle was waiting in a back parking lot, he said. It sped off, looped around another building.

Police have not released the victim’s name, but friends identified the slain man as 22-year-old Zabi Mojadadi.

“He was a nice kid. Very quiet. We would chat sometimes and I’d say: ‘You’ve got to find some new friends,’ but he’d say, ‘No, man, they’re my brothers — my people,’” said area resident Phil Nelson.
