School’s tip line designed to curb bullying

Students at an Antigonish high school have an innovative way to safely report bullying.

Students at an Antigonish high school have an innovative way to safely report bullying.

Dr. John. H. Gillis High School — with the help of Antigonish RCMP and Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers — has launched a new anti-bullying program.

The Eliminating Victimization Action Committee will use the bystander and the anonymity of Crime Stoppers to help youth who are being bullied.

The Crime Stoppers number has been printed on the back of each student ID. When a student is being bullied or a student witnesses the victimization of another student, they can call the Crime Stoppers number to anonymously report it.
