A northwest Calgary school has slam-dunked an?NBA-sized $11-million athletic facility — and the community will score, too.
The new facility will be the first building constructed in a $100-million expansion project in the kindergarten to Grade 12 independent Bearspaw Christian School, according to school president Kelly Blake.
“This new building will give us the opportunity to realize our vision in teaching minds, reaching hearts and transforming our world,” Blake said, adding the facility will be open to the community. “We have a number of interested parties who have expressed a strong desire to use the facility after school hours and on weekends.”
The construction of the new multi-program facility is estimated at 10 months and is also expected to create new jobs for the comunity.
