Saint Mary’s Huskies defensive tackle Dan Schutte has been named a first-team all-Canadian.

The fourth-year standout was the lone member of the Huskies to crack the first team when Canadian Interuniversity Sport unveiled the rosters on Thursday. Halifax’s Bradley Daye, a cornerback with the Mount Allison Mounties, also made the first team.

Huskies returner Jahmeek Murray, Atlantic University Sport’s player of the year, highlighted the second team.

Also making the second team were Huskies defensive back Mark Holden, a Halifax native, and linebacker Jeff Hecht.

Terence Bay’s Adrian Saturley of the Acadia Axemen also cracked the second team.
