The second person allegedly involved in a violent home invasion in Cape Breton that seriously injured a resident of Eskasoni over the weekend has been officially charged.
Cynthia Paul, 18, of Eskasoni is facing counts of attempted murder, break and enter, and theft in the incident Sunday around 4:40 a.m. on the First Nations community located outside of Sydney.
Paul was arraigned yesterday afternoon at Sydney provincial court.
Sylvester Paul, 59, of Malagawatch is facing the same three charges in the incident and will appear in court Dec. 3. Paul was arraigned on Monday.
A 27-year-old man was seriously injured in the home invasion and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
