OTTAWA - New charges are likely for an Ottawa man after a second
woman caught in a Christmas Eve apartment fire died of her injuries.

Ali Issaky, 23, had already been charged with second degree murder and arson with disregard for human life.

A
57-year-old woman died in the early morning highrise fire, and more
than a dozen residents - mostly seniors - were treated at the scene for
smoke inhalation.

Four people were sent to hospital, including one woman in critical condition.

Ottawa police say more charges are now pending against Issaky after that woman died of her injuries.

The police investigation continues.
