Al Gore is bringing his climate-change lecture, An Inconvenient Truth, to Vancouver next month, the B.C. Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) announced yesterday.
Tickets for the Sept. 29 event range from $265 to $530.
“Al Gore is one of the most sought after speakers in the world today on raising the awareness of global warming,” said Ian Tostenson, president and CEO of the BCRFA. “Securing (former) Vice President Gore was no easy task.”
Premier Gordon Campbell will introduce Gore prior to the presentation at the Westin Bayshore.
A film based on Gore’s lecture won the Oscar for best documentary in 2006.
The former vice-president also penned a book with the same name.
