Seguin gets a taste of Oil Country

Another day, another top prospect gets toured around Edmonton by the Oilers organization.

Last week, Taylor Hall of the Windsor Spitfires was in town to check out Oil Country and face its media, and Thursday it was Plymouth Whalers star Tyler Seguin’s turn.

“Most importantly I want to play (in the) NHL next year,” said Seguin at the Sutton Place Hotel downtown. With the Oilers holding the top pick in this year’s NHL Draft, the question of which of the two prospects — Hall or Seguin — best suits a team that finished last in the league this past season is being hotly debated.

But whether or not it be for Edmonton, Seguin has little doubt he’ll be playing NHL hockey next year. “I’m confident in my skills and that I’m going to be there,” said Seguin.
