A new fashion boutique has opened on Newbury Street, but don’t wait to visit, because they’ll be gone after December.
Sells & Co. is a pop-up shop that offers the trendy lines carried in owner Liz Kelleher Sells’ Winchester store by the same name.
“Nobody has ever really done it in Boston,” Sells says. “It’s something that happens in L.A. and New York all the time, and I was like, it’s time for Boston to get that fashion forward feel that the other large cities have.”
For Sells, the main point of the store is to highlight the lines carried in her permanent location.
“We want to bring to Boston what you really can’t find anywhere when it comes to designers,” Sells says.
Their 116 Newbury location offers pieces from four lines: Charlotte Ronson, Beyond Vintage, Paul Joe & Sister and Hudson Jeans.
“The lines are so special and the fits are just amazing,” says Sells, who tries on every piece that comes in. “I love to buy things that can fit all bodies, so even if you’re a zero, or a 10, you can still find something within these lines that’ll look good on you.”
Ronson was here
If you’re looking for a unique outfit that no one else will have, Charlotte Ronson’s line is exclusive throughout New England to the boutique.
“I have an unbelievable relationship with Charlotte,” Sells says. “These are things you can’t find anywhere else.”
The two have teamed up together in the past to hold a fashion show at the Liberty Hotel. Ronson has also held a trunk show at Sells’store in Winchester, Mass. and will be visiting the Newbury store before the end of the year.
