A former university basketball star who pleaded guilty to flashing people earlier this year in Halifax won’t now be sentenced until the new year.

Neil James Wayne MacDonald, a former standout with the St. Francis Xavier X-Men, was to be sentenced yesterday in Sydney, but the matter was held over until Jan. 4.

In the summer, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to seven charges of an indecent act in connection with seven incidents, which took place mostly around Dalhousie University in Halifax from March 21 to 26.

After pleading guilty, MacDonald was ordered to undergo a sex-offender assessment.

MacDonald is from Sydney Mines but now calls Halifax home.
