Set sail aboard Disney Dream

If you’ve been dreaming of a relaxing cruise but your kids are begging to meet Mickey, make it a magical vacation for everyone by heading out to sea on the Disney Dream, Disney’s newest cruise liner. From fine-dining experiences to family-friendly theaters and the only fireworks display at sea, there’s plenty for everyone aboard the Dream. Pamper yourself in Senses Spa and Salon, where you can partake in a rainforest-themed aromatherapy room or rent a private space with a hot tub and expansive ocean views. Staterooms designed with families in mind can rival any luxury hotel. Many feature balconies, and indoor staterooms have a Magical Porthole — a “window” to the outside that features real-time views outside the ship and visits from “Finding Nemo” characters.

Disney’s not just for kids

While the kids are having fun, there’s plenty for adults to enjoy. Take a dip in the Quiet Cove Pool, an adults-only area where you can swim right up to the bar and order a cocktail. Or take your pick from a number of lounges in The District, where you can choose from environments ranging from sports bar to dance club to upscale cocktail bar.

Fun for the whole family

On the pool deck, the whole family can enjoy Donald’s Pool, or younger children can enjoy the 2-foot-deep Mickey’s Pool, which features the famed mouse’s face on the bottom and a water slide. Kids can also get wet in Nemo’s Reef, a whimsical water area. In the supervised Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab, children can play on an interactive game floor and become part of their very own Disney story.

But one of the defining features of the Disney Dream is the AquaDuck, a 765-foot water coaster at sea that goes up, down, around and even over the side of the ship. The clear tube along the way allows amazing views from the slide while mom watches from below. After you ride the AquaDuck, take in a game of mini-golf or try a virtual sports simulator on Goofy’s Sports Deck.
