A repeat sex offender has been set free in our province, police said Thursday.

Halifax Regional Police issued a warning to let residents know Wayne Stanley Crawley, 55, has been released from a federal prison after serving a two-year sentence. Crawley has several past convictions, including sex offences against both adults and children that date back to the ’70s.

Police said they’re warning all Nova Scotians, but particularly those who live in HRM, about Crawley, who has been assessed as having a high risk of re-offending. He’s not supposed to have contact with kids under 16 years old. Crawley is a five-foot-eight, 180-pound black man, with a bald head and brown eyes.
