From left, Master Sarah Moanies, Marsha Ellen Meidow, Shone Abet, Belle Desir and Zylpha Nail are raising money this weekend to help end violence against women and children.

"Wear what you dare" for a good cause at the 3rd Annual Femme Fatale Carnivale in support of ending violence against women and children.

What is touted as Calgary’s sexiest fundraiser is celebrating empowerment and creativity with proceeds from the event going towards charities supporting the end of violence to women and children.

Shone Abet, co-organizer of the annual fundraiser, said the event has grown since the first show three years ago and Friday night’s event will be the biggest yet.

"This is a fun and sexy way for people to forget about their work week on Friday and let loose doing something outside the box all for a good cause," Abet told Metro.

The burlesque-style show will take place at Tantra nightclub and Abet emphasizes that people should "wear what they dare".

"It’s about celebrating sexuality and diversity without judgment. It’s just going to be a really fun time for people to let their inhibitions go," she added.

Entertainment will include burlesque shows, dancers, a comedian magician and more.
