Sharks acquire forward Kennedy from Panthers

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Sharks acquired forward Tim Kennedy from the Florida Panthers on Thursday for defenceman Sean Sullivan.

The Sharks have assigned Kennedy to top development affiliate Worcester in the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Kennedy has split the season between Florida and San Antonio of the AHL. He posted two points in 27 games with Florida and nine points with three goals in 18 games for San Antonio.

The 27-year-old Sullivan was second among Worcester defencemen this season with 24 points — five goals and 19 assists — in 32 games.
