Former Halifax Mooseheads captain Jody Shelley could be on the outs with the New York Rangers.

Shelley has not yet been offered a contract extension from the Rangers, according to the New York Post, and is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The 34-year-old left-winger joined the Rangers at mid-season in a trade from the San Jose Sharks and had two goals and seven assists along with 115 penalty minutes while earning $750,000.
