Shooting suspect nabbed

City cops have caught the third man wanted in an attempted murder only hours after releasing a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest yesterday.
Police found 19-year-old Lance Walcott in a vehicle with three other men yesterday along 41 St. SE and arrested him without incident, according to police spokesperson Kevin Brookwell.
“What we’re looking at is a verbal altercation over a property matter escalated and resulted in the victim being shot,” Brookwell told reporters, adding it was not drug or gang related.
Police have already arrested two other men Monday’s shooting that left a 27-year-old man clinging to life in hospital. He remains in critical condition and police haven’t been able to speak with him yet.
“We had a lot of co-operation from the public and some information that this individual may be in this area at this time.
“He was well known to police to be armed and dangerous.”
Already charged is 19-year-old Arkanglo Salviu Anny with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a restricted weapon.
A 17-year-old male, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also arrested in the same incident but charged with less serious offences.
Walcott is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of restricted weapon.
He will make his first appearance on April 22 to face his charges. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
