After singer Susan Boyle’s second cancelled concert, Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell admits that when it came to Boyle’s fast-rising fame, “we didn’t handle the situation with Susan as well as we could have,” people.com reports.
He wrote in an editorial in Britain’s Daily Mail this weekend that “she seemed fine with all the attention. … I thought perhaps naively that she was in control.”
However, as the May 30 finale approached, “Susan was finding the experience difficult to cope with.”
At the finale, when dance troupe Diversity took the top prize, “I looked over at her face and thought: ‘Christ, she doesn’t know how to deal with not winning,’” he wrote. “It was a bad moment.”
