A singer without a voice is about as useful as a hammer without nails.
That’s why Simon and Garfunkel are postponing their tour, including a date in Edmonton May 1, so Garfunkel can give his voice a rest.
The concert’s promoter, Live Nation, said Garfunkel sustained a voice strain and needs an adequate period of rest and rehabilitation.
Garfunkel is expected to make a complete recovery, but in the meantime the pair have decided to reschedule all their shows scheduled for April and May.
The Edmonton show has been moved to July 6 at Rexall Place.
