Halifax Regional Police and RCMP executed a search warrant Wednesday night at a home on Springfield Lake Road and seized marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Four men and one woman face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and cultivation of marijuana.

They have been released from custody and are due in court at a later date.

RCMP say a fifth man who was arrested, a 37-year-old non-Canadian citizen, remained in custody until a court appearance Thursday in Dartmouth.

RCMP say the 37-year-old also faces charges of personation, forgery and a number of outstanding warrants in the United States for which extradition orders are in place.
