Six teenagers between the ages of 13 and 16 were to appear in provincial youth court yesterday after Halifax Regional Police responded to a break-and-enter on Trinity Ave. in Dartmouth on Sunday evening.

Police say when they arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m., five youths were arrested leaving the building and a sixth person was apprehended inside with the help of a K-9 member.

Police say a female arrested inside the building received a small bite to her leg from the police dog, but it didn’t require medical attention.

All six youths are facing charges of break and enter and property damage.
