Sixth foot found in B.C.

A mysterious sixth human foot has been found on B.C.’s South Coast, RCMP said yesterday.

The foot — the second to wash ashore in three days — was found around 10 a.m. yesterday by a woman walking at low tide near Campbell River on Vancouver Island.

The right foot was found in a black Adidas sneaker, roughly size 10.

“The object will ultimately be examined by a forensic pathologist in attempts to determine the source of the foot and if it is related to the other feet recently found,” said Const. Annie Linteau in a release yesterday.

“A DNA analysis will also be requested. Consultation will be made with other investigators involved in these files to determine whether or not there is any connection.”

Since August, six human feet have been found on various beaches in southwest B.C. All six disembodied feet were found in sneakers.

In the most recent — Monday — a left foot was discovered off Ladner’s Westham Island in the Fraser River.
