Plow operaters feel threatened
When they’re not quick to clear our streets, we curse and complain. But when they do, we get equally as frustrated by the snow they leave at the end of our driveways.
They are the plowers.
The wife of one snow remover in Mississauga said her husband has had shovels and beer bottles thrown at his tractor.
Another plower is said to have been chased by a resident in a car. And yet another says he has had someone threaten to slit his throat for plowing a street.
Plow driver Rick Ross of Mississauga adds that residents of the city’s newer neighbourhoods tend to be the most hot-headed.
