The white stuff hasn’t quite hit the ground yet, but this weekend is all about ski and snow at the Calgary Snow Show.
Anything to do about the snowboarding and skiing culture is coming to the city in a two-day extravaganza that offers something for everyone, according to the organizer.
Show director Todd Beernink said this year’s event is twice as big as last year.
“It’s snowy and cold in the mountains and winter is here. If it goes on snow, it’s at the show and people are going to have a blast,” Beernink told Metro.
The 100-exhibit event features clothing, ski supplies, snowboards and accessories, as well as entertainment and even a snowball-throwing contest. There’s also more than $10,000 in door prizes up for grabs.
The show runs tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Roundup Centre.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
People who bring in a non-perishable food item for the food bank get $2 off admission.
