“So You Think You Can Dance Canada” is sashaying back onto the dial.
CTV says the popular reality competition, based on the U.S. series in which dancers from all backgrounds compete for viewer votes, has been green-lit for a second season.
Producers say audition details will be announced soon.
CTV says approximately 2,500 hopefuls turned out to audition for the first season, which crowned Montreal’s Nico Archambault as Canada’s favourite dancer.
The Top 10 contestants from last year’s contest are on a 15-city Canadian tour that runs through Feb. 21.
The announcement follows CTV’s decision to cancel another of its popular homegrown shows, singing competition, “Canadian Idol.”
