Symphony Nova Scotia’s new season promises “something for everyone,” according to music director Bernhard Gueller.

Symphony Nova Scotia’s new season promises “something for everyone,” according to music director Bernhard Gueller.

The 2010-11 season will feature three different series — Celebrity Classics, Pops and Baroque.

The Classics series includes some of the most recognizable names in symphony, with Beethoven’s Fifth, Schubert’s Unfinished symphony, and Mozart’s Jupiter. The symphony will also perform Mozart’s Requiem for the first time in a decade. The Pops series features a tribute concert The Music of the Beatles, covering the Fab Four’s greatest hits. Dutch Robinson will also return for a throwback to the sold-out 2007 Motown concert, and Erin Costello will join the symphony for a Maritime concert. The Baroque series will feature English and German music, as well as Handel’s Messiah, performed by the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.
