TOMORROW AND SATURDAY, local indie fave Barbie’s Basement Jewellery is holding a sale of sparkly goodies at their east-end studio. Expect to save 20 to 50 per cent off select items like their popular crystal encrusted buckles, magnets, rings, brooches and pendants featuring groovy images of pop culture icons.

This is a top source for personal treats and stylish gifts; hardcore shoppers with hipsters on their lists always hit this event to stock up on prezzies.

When: Tomorrow and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

Threads, a charity fashion show scheduled for tonight, is a stylish fundraiser featuring several of Toronto’s hippest indie designers.

All proceeds will benefit Dress Your Best, a local non-profit that assists men and women in transition gain employment by providing them with appropriate business attire. The evening will be co-hosted by Kim D’eon from Entertainment Tonight Canada and Jomo from Flow 93.5. Be there to schmooze with local fashion talent, shake your tailfeather and support a worthy cause.

Designers whose fall and winter collections will be showcased tonight include Dagg & Stacey, Hyphen, Rosa Costanzo, Greenbaum Clothing, Zoran Dobric, Preloved, Kari Lynn Bianchi and Chulo Pony.
