Spas, Jurlique, Family Guy keep actress on the go

Kelly Carlson

Kelly Carlson, actress, plays Kimber Henry on CTV’s Nip/Tuck:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I use Jurlique Skin Care. Their products are natural. Their day cream is thick and the best on the market. I use herbal spray, which is vitamins for the face. Rosewater is good for night and flying. The bath products — I use most of them — are amazing.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I dress conservative with a little sexy. I love sexy shoes. If my legs look good, I feel good. My closet is full of Ralph Lauren V-neck cashmere sweaters, T-shirts, jeans, Chanel jackets and great handbags.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I do worry about the small stuff — I stress a lot. To turn the world off, I go to spas, meditate and work out. It is important to have alone time.

Q: What things make life easier?

A: I take a bath twice a day. Music is a big part of my life. I also love watching Grey’s Anatomy and Family Guy.

Q: What healthy eating habits do you follow?

A: I do not diet. I will bargain with myself because I do have a responsibility to stay fit. I eat clean food. I would rather eat fat and real sugar then chemical-packed food. I try and drink lots of water (two litres of Penta water a day). I drink a Coke with my meal but never alone because there is too much sugar. My favourite food is mashed potatoes.

Anwar Mukhayesh

Anwar Mukhayesh, one of HGTV’s Designer Guys:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I love Dermalogica face wash products and moisturizers. The trick for me is to use them regularly in the morning and at night. My favourite product is Kenzo Pour Homme, my signature fragrance for years.

Q: Describe your style?

A: My style is urban, electric chic. I follow trends by travelling and being influenced by different people and places. I try to be as expressive as possible in a subtle way.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I try to stay true to myself and make a difference where I can, taking each day at a time and being spontaneous as possible.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I go to the gym occasionally but mostly I play soccer once a week and periodically ice hockey.

Q: What healthy eating habits do you follow?

A: Fortunately and unfortunately, I love food and cooking. I’m always on the go and eat late, usually with wine, which doesn’t help. I think it’s just about eating more often in smaller quantities. Cooking with organic ingredients makes such a big difference — you have no idea!
