You know it’s almost summertime when the National rolls around.
The show jumping competition kicks off Wednesday at Spruce Meadows. The tournament attracts the best in the world – including Canada’s mightiest in the sport, such as Beijing Olympic gold medalist Eric Lamaze, who despite his prior success considers winning at Spruce Meadows a top priority.
“I prepare in Europe prior to Spruce Meadows to peak here,” said Lamaze.
Hundreds of competitors will be participating in the event which wraps up Sunday.
