Stanley Park fire put out

A small brush fire in Stanley Park was extinguished by Vancouver firefighters early Thursday morning.

According to the Vancouver Fire Department, it was started by a “group of homeless people who were camping out” near the Teahouse Restaurant.

The squatters were cooking over a fire when it spread and ignited a tree close by.

Various squatters are believed to camp out throughout Stanley Park.
