There are startling allegations contained in a letter at the centre of Stellarton Police Chief Amby Heighton’s dismissal hearing.

The anonymous letter raises questions about the conduct of several Pictou County RCMP officers, a former officer, and former area RCMP Staff Sgt. Ross Landry, who is Nova Scotia’s current Justice Minister.

The letter was released to the public during yesterday’s Nova Scotia Police Review Board tribunal hearing in Stellarton.

The hearing is being held to see if Heighton gets his job back following his dismissal by the town after six complaints in November 2007. Landry could testify as early as today.
