Stolen medications worry police

A stolen sedative could cause death or serious harm if administered incorrectly, Vancouver police warned yesterday.

A stolen sedative could cause death or serious harm if administered incorrectly, Vancouver police warned yesterday.

Ten one-millimetre vials of the sedative “Versed” or “Medazolam” were among the medications stolen when a paramedic’s case was swiped early Sunday morning during a medical emergency outside GM Place.

Police are worried that someone could harm themselves by taking the sedatives incorrectly.

The case, which is valued at $2,400, is marked “EHS” or “BCAS.”
