Halifax RCMP spokesman Scott MacRae said the boy was crossing at the intersection of Glendale Drive and Beaver Bank Road at 2:45 p.m. when a turning car struck him.

The boy was taken to the IWK Health Centre with possible head injuries.

MacRae said yesterday morning the boy is back at home.

No charges or tickets were issued yet, but fines for failing to yield to a pedestrian range $685 to almost $2,500.
