Using an Internet camera and microphone, 13-year-old Grade 9 student Julie Nguyen of St. Alphonsus school asks NASA astronaut Clay Anderson yesterday about his experience using the Canadarm.

A handful of Edmonton students got a taste of space yesterday as they chatted briefly with an astronaut who recently returned from space.

Grade 9 students at St. Alphonsus elementary and junior high school spoke with Clay Anderson through a webcast as he addressed several schools in Edmonton, Calgary and Texas.

Anderson returned to Earth last month after spending five months aboard the International Space Station.

The webcast was part of the science program offered at the school.
