A few weeks ago, the clocks went forward
by an hour to herald a new season. So it’s time for parents to start
thinking about how they’re going to occupy their kids this summer. In
the next three months, Metro Kids will focus on summer camps – and this
month we look at some of the best options available to parents seeking a
sporting theme.

Forrestel Farm Riding & Sports Camp

Forrestel Riding & Sport Camp offers both residential and day camp sessions. A fully accredited ACA camp, established in 1980, Forrestel offers one-, two- and four-week co-educational sessions ages 7 to 16, some co-ed and some just for girls. The historic 800- acre working farm is located 40 miles west of Rochester. There are two outstanding programs: equestrian or outdoor adventure and sports. Forrestel Farm Riding & Sports Camp provides children with a safe and nurturing environment where they are inspired to succeed. Programs are designed to help campers develop confidence and explore new opportunities. Enrollment is limited, which enables the camp to have more one-on-one time with each child.
